Frequently Asked Questions

We Answer Your Questions About NDIS Domestic Assistance

Learn more about household tasks support for NDIS participants.

The NDIS may fund supports for household tasks that a participant is not able to undertake due to their disability, such as cleaning, meal preparation, laundry and more. Such supports are considered when they are deemed reasonable and necessary for the participant’s needs.

No, the NDIS does not cover the cost of groceries or food, but it can help cover the costs associated with preparing and delivering meals tailored to your needs.

The NDIS generally does not fund pet care for companion animals or pets, as these are considered day-to-day living costs. However, if you have an approved assistance animal included in your plan, the NDIS may provide funding for the maintenance costs associated with the animal, recognising the higher expenses compared to a regular pet.

At Zyma Care, we can assign a qualified support worker to you as soon as possible. We schedule free face-to-face consultations to get the process started quickly.
